EXAMPLES

Amino Acids

Dr. Carpenter - Polyatomic Ions

The Amino Acids cardset makes great use of images and text to support learning a fairly complex topic.  The cardset author also made effective use of line breaks to make the text objects more readable.

The Polyatomic Ions cardset author was an early adopter of HTML formatting to insert super- and subscript text into the cardset.

Treble Clef Notes
Piano Keys

Both cardsets make great use of images to create a simple and effective learning tool for a topic with broad appeal.

In gFlashPro, these images are cached for studying anytime!

Assyrian Cuneiform

Road Racing Flags

Assyrian Cuneiform is a collection of five cardsets that demonstrate how gFlash can be used to share compelling and unique learning content with a large audience.  The author has done an outstanding job creating and hosting the large quantity of images required to support this cardset.

Road Racing Flags show gFlash is not only a great tool for education but for learning about anything that interests you.  We should mention we do not recommend using gFlash while driving ... especially when going over 200mph!

C-130 Ops Limits 1

Allergy Board Review by CJB #3

Both are collections of cardsets and demonstrate that gFlash is a great tool for the life long learner.  After reviewing both of these, we decided to stick to writing software and leave these cards to the Pilots and Doctors.

If you're studying for a professional certification, consider sharing your cardsets with the gwhizmobile@gmail.com via Google Documents.

Families and Relationships (Spanish)

BCLU - Chinese Grammar - 5

Languages are the most popular topic in the gWhiz Catalog and there are many great cardsets to choose from including Korean, Russian, Spanish, Greek, Latin, .... and many more.

This set of Spanish cards is extensive, well annotated, and grouped into meaningful subject areas.  The cardset titles are immediately relevant to anyone just browsing the catalog (vs. "Chapter 1 vocab" or "Week 1 nouns")

This Chinese Grammar collection is also extensive and includes both the definition and phonetic pronunciation.

Supreme Court Justices

Shapes of functions (precalculus)

We like these Supreme Court Justices cardsets because they're simple and effective demonstration of how easy open source information (like Wikipedia) can be combined with gFlash to create a useful learning tool.  We're still waiting for an author to volunteer the companion set ... the "FBI's Most Wanted" list!

The Shapes of Functions cardset also makes great use of images to provide a mobile reference for a complex topic.
